Corporate Campaigning

It’s rare to find a guide written for campaigners on how to transform industry sectors.  Well, here it is.  Written by Nicholas Hildyard and Mark Mansley of the Cornerhouse, this 200-page guide summarises the strategies  that have proven to be effective.  Although it’s UK-centric, the guide is extremely useful for anyone considering running a boycott campaign or a shareholder advocacy campaign.   I hope someone out there writes a Canadian version of this guide.

Corporate campaigners also might want to check out a new academic article called “Investment Risk: An Amplification Tool for Social Movement Campaigns Globally and Locally” written by Aidan Ricketts.  Aidan explores how climate campaigners are using corporate campaigning to advance local place-based struggles.  Thanks Aidan.
